This lecture session will address endodontics from both an advanced perspective and from a restorative point of view. The key in making endodontics profitable is being able to do cases consistently well and in manner that leads directly to the final restoration.

As a result of recent improvements in metallurgy, enhanced designs, and innovative rotary file motions, we now need to understand how these changes affect clinical instrumentation. Furthermore, we must take advantage of these improvements to create an instrumentation protocol that combines Safety with Simplicity.

Endodontic treatment has evolved significantly from simple beginnings, and the success rate of this treatment has increased dramatically in the past decade or so, allowing clinicians to save teeth predictably and safely. But how successful is todays endodontic therapy? Is it still worth saving teeth? This course will explore the classic and current literature and report practically on how we can achieve long-term success in endodontic treatment without using expensive and/or complex techniques.
Anatomically oriented and conservative preparation of the root canal system is the best approach for long-term success in endodontics. The Anatomically Centered Approach proposed in this course allows us to sacrifice less dentin, enhance the irrigation process significantly, and seal the root canal system with the best science has to offer today. Anatomically Centered Endodontics is not about a new instrument, equipment or product, but the combination of scientifically proven techniques and materials in one simple, biologically driven, and inexpensive workflow. The primary purpose of this course is to help clinicians obtain long-term success in their endodontic cases without the need for complex or expensive equipment while providing the best possible care to their patients.
The incidence of dental trauma is highest in the first two decades of life, and hence, the young permanent anterior teeth are of particular importance in traumatic injuries. Successful retention of these teeth is paramount to long-term esthetic, function and health of not just the oral cavity but also the physiological impact the loss may have on these young patients. This presentation reviews the latest guidelines by IADT and AAE, to understand how and why they have changed over time. Treatment options and prognosis for each type of injury based on the biological goals is reviewed, and current literature discussed.
This course will start with a brief endo/implant discussion followed by the discussion of complex anatomy and the latest in irrigation protocol. Successful endodontic treatment outcome is a healthy apical periodontium and long-term survival of the tooth. These objectives are achieved by meticulous disinfection of the root canal space, avoiding excessive removal of dentin, and […]
Unfortunately for endodontists, even with the best treatment and latest technology, a certain percentage of cases will still fail and require retreatment. Case selection and reasons why certain cases fail, as well as our own limitations in trying to provide heroics will be discussed. The use of the latest generation of ultrasonic tips and 3D […]

Nearly 32 years since the introduction of Nickel Titanium Rotary Files to endodontics, we've learned much about the clinical strengths and limitations of these great instruments. As a result of recent improvements in metallurgy, enhanced designs, and innovative rotary file motions, we now need to understand how these changes affect clinical instrumentation. Furthermore, in parallel […]
