In 1981, Dr. Rosenthal helped pioneer the development of “Porcelain Laminate Veneer”. Since then, he has placed over 60,000 veneers and has come to be recognized for his distinctive brand of artistic Cosmetic Dentistry, featuring Facial Aesthetics.
In November 2002 he opened the Rosenthal Institute for Aesthetic Dentistry at New York University’s (NYU) College of Dentistry, offering post-doctoral, continuing education courses dedicated to the art and science of cosmetic dentistry. Since its inception, demand for his ‘Aesthetic Advantage’ courses at the Rosenthal Institute has grown and additional courses have been offered in London, Palm Beach, and Indianapolis.
A native New Yorker, Dr. Rosenthal proudly completed his Doctorate in Dental Science at New York University in 1972. Since then, his life-long professional goals have been to educate both the dentist and the public to the value of having a healthy beautiful smile.
A graduate of New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry, Dr. Rosenthal did his general practice residency at New York Montefiore Hospital. He has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally for dental manufacturers and laboratories, as well as, being the keynote speaker at various Aesthetic, Restorative Conferences and major dental meetings.
He has designed and developed several materials that have become essential to the practice of Clinical Aesthetic Dentistry
He has published a plethora of articles on “The Smile Lift”, “Porcelain Veneers” as well as, his systematic multi-discipline approach to Restorative/ Aesthetic Dentistry. He has been featured both in print and on TV as an expert in Aesthetic Dentistry…e.g Vogue, Elle, Wall Street Journal and major TV Networks.
He is an Accredited Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and has been given 2 Lifetime Achievement Awards for advancing education in Aesthetic Dentistry globally.
